Stephen C. Meyers

Stephen C. Meyers is President of SCM Associates.   Since establishing SCM Associates in 1991, Meyers has become a nationally recognized leader in Republican direct response programs.

A winner of the American Association of Political Consultants’ Pollie Award for the best fundraising letters of the 1994, 1998, and 2000 campaign cycles, Meyers has twenty years of experience coordinating direct mail and telemarketing programs for hundreds of political campaigns and organizations.   Meyers has handled several of the most successful major direct mail programs for candidates, including Rick Lazio (New York Senate campaign against Hillary Clinton), Congresswoman Katherine Harris, and Congressman Bob Barr.

Meyers co-authored the National Republican Congressional Committee's Campaign Finance Manual.   He is a frequent speaker and trainer at campaign training seminars sponsored by Governing and Campaigns & Elections and traveled to the Soviet Union in 1990 to train members of newly formed Soviet political parties.   Meyers is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants and the VT/NH Direct Marketing Association.

A graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Meyers has a BS degree in Management.   He lives in Jaffrey, New Hampshire with his wife, Amy, son, Edward, and daughter, Lucy.

Stephen J. Bates

Stephen J. Bates joined SCM Associates in 1998 and quickly moved from Account Executive to Vice President, handling a number of high-profile national, statewide, and congressional campaigns over the last 11 years.

His current clients include Governor Charlie Crist (FL) and Governor Jim Douglas (VT), as well as nearly two dozen Members of Congress, State Parties, National PACs, and challengers for statewide office.

Prior to joining SCM Associates, Bates worked on several statewide, congressional, and local campaigns.   He holds a BA in Political Science from American University.

Bates lives in Duxbury, Massachusetts with his wife, Nicole, and their son, Alexander.

Jodi Schell

Jodi Schell is a multiple award-winning copywriter who holds a B.A. in History from Cedar Crest College and a M.A. in Political Science from Lehigh University.  Prior to joining SCM Associates, she honed her copywriting skills in the award-winning in-house creative department of a major book and magazine publisher.

She also worked as a Legislative Aide for a Pennsylvania State Senator and on numerous local, state, and national campaigns.

Politically active since the age of seven, Jodi crafts results-driven copy that is unique to each client.

Jodi lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two little girls.   She enjoys running, reading, cooking, and bad reality TV.
